We live close to the Holterberg (National Park the Sallandse Heuvelrug). A beautiful nature reserve for long walks, a round of running, horse riding or cycling. But you can also entertain yourself for hours on country lanes at the farmhouse. Several guests chose our B&B as a base for walking different stages of the Pieterpad. The Pieterpad is 5 km from our B&B. One of the oldest cities in the Netherlands is Deventer. A city with a rich history, nice terraces and nice boutiques. Even closer to home are Holten and Bathmen where you can eat well and get groceries. Amsterdam is a 118 km drive. Don't forget to pay a visit to the pride of Dijkerhoek: the Diekerhookse mölle De Hegeman. The miller is happy to give you a tour and you can also go there for a cup of coffee, the mill bitter, delicious cake mixes or an ice cream from Ôans. In the B&B is a basket full of brochures of activities, museums etc. in the area. You don't have to be bored for a moment.
